This is a nice untouched example of an early 2nd Model S&W Double Action Revolver. It does not appear to have ever been fired. Standard 3-1/4" Barrel, five-shot cylinder, .38 S&W caliber, nickel-plated finish, and checkered hard rubber grips with S&W monograms. The 2nd Model DA was produced from 1880 to 1884 and featured an improved oval-shaped sideplate which gave the frame additional strength over its 1st model predecessor. Serial number is in the 103,000 with all matching numbers...circa 1884.
