US Army Infantry Tactics Manual Dated 1874 by Upton

This is an Indian Wars-era United States Army Infantry Tactics Manual. Written by Bvt Major General Emory Upton. Published in 1874. Name on the inside cover is "Walter S. Hazelton". We didn't have time to do a great deal of research but did find a Walter S. Hazelton who was a Civil War veteran from Vermont. He later moved to California and served as an officer in the 4th California Volunteers during the Mojave Indian Wars in 1869. Could he have still been in the California Volunteers when this book was issued in 1874?. Certainly possible as he remained in California until 1876 at which time he moved back east. Complete with original brass latch. Good+ Condition overall.
