Colt Model 1895 DA Revolver

Colt Model 1895 Double Action Revolver. Caliber is in .38 Colt with 4-1/2" barrel, blued finish, and checkered hard rubber grips in the New Army pattern with rampant Colt. Pre-1898 antique serial number is in the 86,000 range. Made in 1897. 4.5" barrel has the smaller three-line address with 1884, '88, and '95 patent dates. Overall Condition is NRA Antique FINE. 75% original blue overall that is thinning in places and beginning to tone to a brown patina. Hammer still has fire blue on the rear face and remains semi-bright on the profiles. Checkered hard rubber grips are in Good condition...checkering slightly worn in places but no chips, cracks, or repairs. Excellent markings throughout. Rampant Colt symbol at left rear of frame. Action works. Bore is Fair+. These early ones with antique numbers are really getting tough to find at fair prices!
