CDV Photograph of Trickshooter Family posing w/ Winchester & Colt Rifles

Nice Carte de Visite Photograph of a family of exhibition shooters.  The father is holding a Winchester 1873 rifle with special order nickel trim.  If you look closely, its a 3rd Model rifle with a folinding tang sight....as the barrel has no rear sight.  The Mother is holding a .22 Colt Lightning Pump rifle with standard blued frame.  The little girl who appears to be their daughter is standing with a really interesting Stevens Pocket Rifle.  Note how short the detachable metal-framed shoulder stock has been shortened to reduce the length of pull for a small child.  The bottom of this photo is marked "The Bartlett Family"  All three are wearing costumes for stage presence and it appears the man is wearing some type of shooting medal.  The lower border of the photo is marked "Swords Bro's, Professional Photographers, York, PA.  Swords Brothers had a penchant for incorporating unusual subject matter into their photography.  We found a number of their photos online including ones of Pawnee Bill, Circus Performers, and People wearing unusual costumes.  My guess is this family performed in some type of show, exhibition, or circus...as we've seen a few other Bartlett Family photos over the years. Overall, its in Very Good condition with no tears or damage.  The image has turned slightly yellow with time.  Appears to be from the late 1880's to mid-1890's.
