This is an original receipt from Degnan Maginnis Saddlery of St. Louis, MO to Loewenstein Strousses Company of Mora, NM dated February 1890. The items on the receipt are leather scabbards for rifles and/or carbines and cartridge belts in 44 and 45 calibers in addition to the gun items, there are also various forms of horse leather including bridles, saddle girths, halters, buggy whips and saddle pads, etc. This receipt came from an old Colt collector who in turn purchased it from an old Colt collector 40 years ago. Overall very good condition with two corners torn out. Origianl receipts for gun leather are very hard to find, particularly out West.
